Bring MFC dialog window to Top of all Windows

Hello Folks !!!! Lately i was developing a Windows CE Auto Version check application and i need to warn User before i trigger OS upgrade so Auto close warning dialog is expected to be top-most window. Following code does the magic. All you need to do is, place this code in OnInitDialog or whereever you want. CWnd* MainWnd= AfxGetMainWnd();   MainWnd->SetWindowPos (&MainWnd->wndTopMost ,0,0,0,0, SWP_NOMOVE| SWP_NOSIZE| SWP_SHOWWINDOW); Thats it!!!!!!! Not a big deal :)

Hello Folks, I am back with yet another WinCE / Windows Mobile Solution this time it is something exciting and it is on Power Batter Suspend timeout related stuff. It is really challenging task to optimize battery life of any embedded device. Sometimes we want to control back light and battery suspend related activities through our program. Hello Folks, I am back with yet another Win CE / Windows Mobile articles, i don't want call this as an articles rather i would like to call it as some quick peek into WinCE / Windows Mobile useful functions. Lately i have a requirement where i need to run my application in full screen mode which means i have to disable task bar to let my application run n full screen mode. Initially this sounds like BIG task but after peeping into MSDN i found that it is a cakewalk. Following snippet does the trick. Windows Mobile / WinCE Custom Ping function

I am back and yet again Windows Mobile / WinCE tutorial but this time soemthing interesting and on networking side. Lately i was developing Wireless PDA Update application which requires me to check if server which contains ROM image files is reachble before attempting to download files from the same. I thought that there is a WinCE API available to perform this task but to my surprise there is NO direct API however helper API is available. Then i have constructed an API which takes parameters and returns true if ping successful. Here is the function .... Hello Folks, I am back with yet another Windows Mobile / Windows CE article, this time on Power Management and Notifications. You must be wondering why i am posting lot of Windows CE related articles these days, reason is simple i am developing some WinCE device system related application where i need to explore lot of system level stuff. Windows Mobile 6.1 to be announced on April 1?

Hey hey it is not kind of April fool joke and dodgy news. But word is that Microsoft will be launching its rumored update to its Window Mobile 6 operating system on April Fool's Day, regardless of the implications, and which coincidentally (or not) is also the first day of the CTIA Wireless tradeshow in Las Vegas. According to a report on Pocket-lint, Windows Mobile 6.1 is designed as the temporary upgrade solution for Windows Mobile handheld users before version 7 is introduced. The former will offer several enhancements over the Windows Mobile 6 version which debuted in February 2007, including a cleaner user interface, new homescreen, task manager and the ability to copy-and-paste in Internet Explorer.
